With 2019 Ontario Parasport Games planning underway, we look forward to learning more about parasport and how we can provide para-athletes with the best possible experience while they’re competing #InTheDR. We will also hear about the inspiring legacy of the Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games and how to incorporate meaningful legacy plans into our events.

- Blind soccer try-it session led by Matt Greenwood, Executive Director, Pickering Soccer Club
- The Para-athlete Experience interactive panel discussion featuring para-athletes including:
- Dave Brown, para-sailor, para-skier and goalball player
- Mike Frogley, Director and Head Coach, Wheelchair Basketball Canada Academy
- Anthony Lue, para-cyclist
- Christina Swett, former wheelchair basketball player
- Rick Watters, para-sailor and boccia player
- Sport Event Legacy Planning session presented by Cheryl Finn, Director of Sport Tourism for Tourism London and Chair of the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) on behalf of the CSTA
- (Tentative) Sport Trends in Durham student presentations with Ian Ellis, Professor, Durham College Sport Management and Durham College Business of Sport students
Tickets are $20 and include a light breakfast and lunch.
This year, we encourage you to dress in casual/athletic wear for comfort and the blind soccer try-it session. Layers are also recommended because of the cooler temperature in the fieldhouse.
