RANDY PASCAL OF SUDBURY APPOINTED
TO COMMUNITY SPORT COUNCILS ONTARIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS!
Toronto, Ontario, October 4-The Community Sport Councils of Ontario (CSCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of SportLink – Greater Sudbury Sport Council Executive Director Randy Pascal to the Board of Directors in a Regional Director North position.
Having spent most of his life living in Sudbury and absolutely immersed in the local sports community, Randy appears as “That Sudbury Sports Guy” in his local newspaper columns – a rather appropriate moniker given his level of involvement across the entire sporting spectrum in the area.
A graduate of the Sports Administration program at Laurentian University in 1985, Randy was being featured at that time for his role on countless sports associations, largely in the area of publicity and pretty much anything associated with sport statistics.
He has been a member of the SportLink board dating back to 2003, having taken on the part-time E.D. post in 2017 and guiding the group forward with countless partnerships, including a Sport Tourism project that he leads on behalf of the City.
A member of the Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame committee and former board member with a dozen or so local sports groups – not to mention playing a key role on most of the larger Games that have come to the area – Randy is also a three time Olympic volunteer. As a guest of the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation), Randy worked as a scorekeeper in Vancouver (2010 – worked the men’s gold medal game), Pyeongchang (2018) and most recently Beijing (2022).
The CSCO Board of Directors welcomes Randy Pascal to assist the Council to advance sport opportunities in the north, to effectively create more ‘Healthier, more physically literate communities in Ontario’.
