COMMUNITY SPORT COUNCILS ONTARIO (CSCO) JOINS THE ONTARIO SPORT NETWORK
TO BUILD SUPPORT FOR ITS NETWORK OF COMMUNITY SPORT COUNCILS &
INCREASE ITS FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF NEW PROGRAMS !
CSCO has affiliated with Sport4Ontario to strengthen its relationship with provincial sport leadership to offer enhanced services which will build capacity in CSCO’s network of over 40 organizations in Ontario.
These organizations come under various names such as; Community Sport Councils, Accessible Sport Councils, Community Sport Advisory Committees, Community Sport Hall of Fame Committees, Community Youth Sport Committees & Community Sport Volunteer Awards Committees.
As Kevin Arnsdorf, Chair of CSCO explains “the grassroots community sport movement in Ontario has been dramatically impacted by the pandemic and needs additional sources of funding, services & organizational support”!
CSCO therefore has aligned with Sport4Ontario to take advantage of the National Sport Trust Fund-Ontario to offer the following fundraising campaigns and corresponding tax receipts for all donations to support grassroots community sport into the future!
1. CSCO Sustainability Fund will support the ongoing enhancement of programs and services that CSCO delivers to the Community Sport Council network to ensure “Healthier, more physically literate communities across Ontario”. Financial support received through donations will support increased lobbying with local Governments, enhanced communications through virtual network meetings, institution of quarterly e newsletters, provision of enhanced e learning opportunities and development of relevant resources to build capacity in community sport organizations. The fundraising goal is $10,000 per year.
