CSCO looks forward to KLSRC’s 4th Annual Volunteer Awards event on Wed, Nov 7 ! The information below is from KLSRC website;
“The KLSRC will continue with the tradition of celebrating the efforts of all volunteers at the recognition dinner scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th. Sport and recreation providers and stakeholders will be invited to attend the event at the Lindsay Golf and Country Club.
The theme of the evening is Changing Lives through Sport and Recreation. Street Soccer called Kickstart, a short film, will be screened and Street Soccer Canada founder, Paul Gregory and Street Soccer Toronto head coach, Bill Pagonis will be in attendance for a Q & A session.
Street Soccer Canada began as an initiative by housing-advocate Paul Gregory to put together one team for the Homeless World Cup in 2004. It’s now a thriving network of over 20 soccer programs in a dozen cities across the country. Over those last 10 years, hundreds of marginalized individuals living in shelters or on the street have been given a chance to be part of a team.”
